Plan Description:

Saving you up to $200 on your energy bills per year. Victorians, want to save on your electricity and help raise money for your local school at the same time? Switch to Save is a quick, easy and free way to save on your electricity bills while doing your bit to help the environment. An initiative of Bendigo Bank and Energy Makeovers, Switch to Save provides Victorian homeowners with up to four Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs (worth $100 each). You don’t need to be a Bendigo Bank customer to be eligible and there is no cost to you. Plus, for every household taking part, $15 will be donated to help your local school undertake local projects. To be one of the 22,000 homes in Victoria to receive up to four Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs, just visit your local Bendigo Bank branch, go online at http://www.bendigobank.com.au/public/campaign/switch-to-save/index.asp or phone Energy Makeovers on 1300 98 26 28 to register and make a time for free-installation. Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs are limited, so sign up fast to switch off power and switch on savings

My Big reasons are:

The reason is simple: our cost of living continues to rise and we are becoming increasingly conscious about our impact on the environment. Switch to Save is good for you, good for the environment and good for the community. Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs are Standby Power Controllers, which look just like double adapters, and manage energy consumption on TVs and computers – two appliances that add significantly to our power bills. The plugs work by shutting down energy supply to appliances that haven’t been used for a few hours. Installing Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs in 22,000 Victorian households will save up to $44 million in energy costs over the next 10 years, as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 220,000 tonnes – that’s equivalent to taking more than 50,000 cars of the road for a whole year.

My plan will be a success when:

We aim to have 22,000 Victorian homes registered for Switch to Save by the end of July and up to 60,000 Embertec SmartSwitch™ plugs installed.

Sponsors of our plan:
