This is a Mundijong Community Association plan

Plan Description:

The Mundijong Community Association are striving to upgrade and beautify the streetscape of Mundijong in the railway reserve. Having made contact with local developers and establishing a positive relationship it became evident that one of the developers in particular was keen to assist the community even further. Through conversations and a site visits it was decided that a boardwalk under the shaded wooded area would be ideal for the township as access had just been made easier with a new PTA pathway. Peet LTD via Trevor Finlayson arranged for Emerge Associates to come up with a landscape design and paid for the plans to the tune of $8,500 dollars. This ensures that we have accurate costings and visuals to sell the idea to increase funding opportunities.

My Big reasons are:

Mundijong has been around for a long time but limited funds have been put into developing the main street due to the pressures faced on our local shire. It is the second fastest growing shire in Australia. With a low rate payer base and rapid development it has meant that staff at the shire have been placed under considerable pressure to meet the demands of the community with a limited budget also. So the Mundijong Community Association have stepped up and are leading the way and working with the shire officers to get things moving again. We don't want old Mundijong to be forgotten when all the new up market development and estates go in. We want it to stand proud and fit in. We want people tro engage in the space. A board walk will be a great start in the right direction.

My plan will be a success when:

When the boardwalk starts construction and the money starts to roll in to fund it.
