Just saw this rad update from Bendigo Bank on Facebook: Congratulations! Through the Switch to Save program Victorian households will save a staggering $27million over the next 10 years. They will also save 135,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions - that's equivalent of taking 30,000 cars off the road for a whole year! And how did you do it? Well, it took a switch. An Embertec SmartSwitch to be precise. Put in to Victorian households through our partnership with Energy Makeovers, each SmartSwitch installed created a donation to local schools. Piggy proudly presented the kids at Strathfieldsaye Primary School with a cheque for over $6000 to help continue their sustainability program - looks like they've already got a head start with their garden and chooks!

How's it tracking? Any updates on how many registrations you've got?

My switch was installed quickly and professionally, I had a mess of plugs and my installer had it sorted in less than 5mins. Can't wait to get my first power bill to see if there's a difference (kinda).

We're up to the 12,000 registration's! Over half way to our goal and not even the end of June yet. Keep those registrations flowing in!

Had my switches installed yesterday night at 5pm. The installer was super nice and really informative about how it all worked. Time to reap in the savings.

With 4,236 online registrations already (to Monday), the program has had a great launch and with a target of 22,000 you'd better get in quick to ensure your household doesn't miss out. A big well done to our Neerim branch who have sign 91 households already! we asked them how their town is doing so well? - Every customer is asked to register and the CSO’s are registering as many of these customers while they are in branch as they can - The local Youth Foundation is involved with the engagement of the school - Mail out to the entire community with a letter from the school attached explaining where the fundraised will be spent Well Done Neerim!!!!

I logged on, completed the very simple registration and am booked in to get my switches in the next couple of weeks - its too easy!

I registered this morning and within an hour had the call back from Energy Makeovers to let me know they have the registration, check some details and tell me they will have a 3 month calendar ready on Monday so will be able to schedule our installation. Great service.

I've just registered, Very easy. Great to be able to save some money and support the local school with $15 from my households registration. Great idea.

I have already had my switch installed. I was really pleased with the process the installer came to my home and explained how the smart switch works with my TV. I feel good that my carbon footprint is going to be a bit smaller and it's nice to know I will see savings on my electrical bill .
