Things you should know about me:

Our group, the Illawarra Light Rail Museum Society Limited has been actively preserving a lost part of Australia’s transport heritage for close to 40 years. Our passion is to let all Australians experience the joy of steam and diesel locomotives in a beautiful bushland setting.

What I'm interested in:

We are passionate about our local community, and about providing a place where people can see and learn about light railway locomotives, rolling stock other related pieces of history. We also want the people of the Illawarra to have an understanding of how the railways shaped our part of Australia.

Things I am good at:

We have built up a collection of fully restored and working locomotives, narrow gauge track and a working station house. Over the years these works could not have been achieved without the help and hard work of our dedicated group of volunteers. These people have made the museum a great place for the train buff, families and the everyday visitor to see a great collection of Australia’s industrial railways that have been lovingly restored to their former glory.
